The National Self Build and Renovation Centre (NSBRC) occupy a large exhibition centre in Swindon.  Its Rateable Value was largely based on its rent.  A large part of the rent incorporated treating the business as a going-concern which was inherently floored.  The Valuation Office agreed to reduce their valuation by over 17%.

Brook Henderson Group Ltd owned offices on a business park on the outskirts of Swindon which was sold in 2013.  SMB were instructed to audit the rates historically paid on the site to Swindon Borough Council.  Having completed an audit of their payments it was found they had made overpayments of over £65,000, which was swiftly reimbursed by the Council.

Charles Harding Estate Agents occupy a shop unit in a secondary position in Swindon with a Rateable Value of £15,350.  After checking measurements and reconfiguring the layout, SMB negotiated a reduction in RV to £13,250, saving  RV £2,100 (13.68%)

Arcadia International Group Plc own offices on the northern inner ring road of Swindon which had a combined RV of £136,500.  After negotiation with the Valuation Office the RV was reduced to £123,000, saving RV £13,500 (9.89%).

Advanced Imaging Systems occupy an office unit on Delta Business Park, off the Great Western Way, in Swindon.  After discussing market evidence with the Valuation Office, we negotiated a reduction in RV from £20,000 to £18,000, saving RV £2,000 (10%).
